Results of the previous Sketch Entry

"The Phantom Thief" By: Christopher Taylor
"Daniella and Karina holding Sturm and Brise" By: Christopher Taylor

The colored result of the previous posted sketches. I'm very happy how they turned out. I got offered to do a banner demo for a online game company. I'm pretty excited as this will be my second demo to present for them. I really hope I get the job. I'm thinking I might try to advertise myself to more game companies for the same work. Maybe a temporary holding of sanity while I plant myself with fully fullfilling a comic drawn out fully to submit to......heck, I dunno. I'm not sure who I'd send my comic to for publishing. Most that I have, Image, Tokyopop, Antartic Press...and even some backwater ones...don't want my work thanks to lack of response in the past.....1-2 years.

Well, now I really want to do a Will of Two comic because I can make it short, unlike my other stories where I have a long plot planned out. Maybe I will if I can hit everything I want (characters, land, story, blah) without frustration.
I guess the future holds that into consideration. I really want in to the comic world, but I'm not stable enough to make another like....$900 investment into self publishing.

NEO|ARK is still on www.lulu.com and absolutely no one has bought it from there. When I traveled to Phoenix to the Phoenix Anime Convention, I sold like 16-18 books of 26. The rest was distributed to friends and family. And I poured my heart, soul and time into that book....the next time I ever decide to do something like that, I want to know its solid.

I'm outta this slump!! Gimmie Paper!!

"Daniella with the Spear of Wind" By: Christopher Taylor

The Slump is over. I can draw again. I did alot today but still far from being where I want/need to be. After that short talk with one of my friends online, I've been thinking alot about my story 'Will of Two' and started doing these two drawings. The one above shows Daniella, the main character of the story, in her new outfit when she becomes a knight (a lancer to be exact). And next we have this... "The Twin Lancers of Wind" - "The Phantom Thief" By: Christopher Taylor

Daniella and her sister Karina holding the twin spears of the kingdom of Airglipht. And on the right we have -The Phantom Thief-. A mysterious thief that strikes without being seen and heard. So far, no one has been able to fend off an attack by this mysterious thief, until Daniella steps into the picture. Now that I'm outta this slump, I think I'll try to develop this story a bit more. I do like it alot. And next I have this lovely piece. This is responsible for taking me out of my slump.

"Relic Hunter: Riven- Character Collage" By: Christopher Taylor

A collage of the main character from RH: Riven. Riven, Nyomi, Princess Yuna, Riven's Rival Knave and the Emperor of the Aasi Empire. I can't wait to start drawing past the intro and get into depicting Riven and Nyomi's relationship and other characters that have not been introduce yet, like the Unknown Child. Overall today has been pretty good. I also finished drawing my girlfriends anniversary sketch for our Year and one month coming up. More sketches and drawings later!

Detective of the Asakusa Police Department

" Thiefs of Airglipht" - By Christopher Taylor

Yesterday I was talking to a friend about one of my stories not really far in production. He wasn't the most enthusiastic about it. It was about the same feeling when getting responses back from people on NEO|ARK. Only I wasn't too upset as the story is way far from being ready for production. The sample story is centered around a planet that governs over the 4 main elements, Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Within the kingdoms of Fire, Water and Earth, the Kings have become corrupt with their own power. Many deaths in the name of the crown occurring and unusual taxing of the people throughout. It has become so outrageous, that one bandit known throughout the lands and 'The Phantom Thief' has made his call to the world. He will go to all the kingdoms and steal the greatest treasure of all, their King's Lives. Somehow, the 3 girls above hear about this, and somehow get the idea to raid the castle while the Phantom Thief makes his way towards the king. However when the actual event takes place, the girls all discover their mysterious lineage and link towards the kingdom. All I ever did was the first page of something experimental shown below..
I love it because I experimented with using only cool colors to make most of this thing except the tower, clouds and eye.
But lately as the previous entry suggested, I'm in a slump, so nothing I've made seems to be good to me right now. Tho after buying Kyoko Karasuma #4 (ahh...suchs a great story) I think I'll try my hands and continuing Relic Hunter Riven Pages. Yay Kyoko! Pray to be out the slump!! :3

Slump Slump Slump....

"Another Dream" - By: Christopher Taylor

Sleep has been a huge issue for me now. Expecially as I haven't been getting the best sleep this month. Another thing is that all my art looks like crap to me. Everything I just wanna throw out or start over. Even my recent comic pages that I was happy with, I look at them now and are just upset with. Yay being in a slump. I'm headed to Hamburg today so maybe a new Sketchbook with help jog my artistic creativity....and hopefully (if its there) the next volume of Kyoko Karasuma. Such a nice style, I wanna achieve that with my comic -RELIC HUNTER Riven-. We'll see in time.

In ways, time will tell how I get outta this. I wanna draw.

Tho, thankfully, it has not affected my freelance work. Yay ;__;

First Post

" One with the Wind" - Christopher Taylor

Well, here's the first post. I've started this because I needed something a bit more serious then my deviantart gallery. Expecially since the site has turned into a popularity contest for me instead of a place where I can get feedback on my work. So, I'll start off with something drawn last month but still fairly new. Here's to this blog being somewhat successful for me.
