So, looks like Kaigai was a Big success! Illustrations were not bought, but some Keychains, Postcards and sketch request were made.
However, the big surprise was...BOTH of my comics sold out! With great help, I sold out of both WHERE THE WIND TAKES US... & SHORT&SKETCHY!
Also, I got to meet alot of great people here. First off, I met a LEGEND in manga, Katsuhiro Otomo!!! ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katsuhiro_Otomo ) who was soooo cool!! ( Picture to come Soon!) Also, the maker of Trigun took a copy of Where the Wind Takes Us, Yatsuhiro Naito! Soooo cool! ( He asked for a Pound, not a handshake! xD ) I got to tell Juanjo Garunido how Awesome ARTIC NATION was, and how great BLACKSAD is, Steven Cummings was a great booth neighbor, not to mention, my other neighbor who goes by RITA-JAY in Japan gave me a lovely Manga as a gift ( So did he), gawd, so many people!
The group PATOKON and their friend Tomoko Hirabayashi were very fun and friendly, while Ryan Benjamin, Sean Gallows and Clay Mann along with their helpful friend were fun to talk with! ( Glad we could finally meet SEAN!) The group RAINBOW COMICS has AMAZING work, you should check them out and support them! They want to go international!
Wonderworld Studio is a fun-loving group that has good work and can strike good conversation....just do not offer them meat. (SORRY again! xD) Also, the group BIGUGLYROBOT was a hillarious group to talk wi5h and hang out with, so I do hope I get to Nagoya so we can meet again.
Also, TIM! I cannot wait to do a illustration for you next convention!
Im sooooo sorry if I forgot anyone! This was overwelming experience...and now, I need to start working on the NEXT addition to DUKE AND TAMARA!
