The road to getting work is bettering yourself...

Been up to a bit of sketching practice. Adapting a different technique to my drawings. It's been working well for me. Pretty soon I've gotta check out some covers of things from Marvel, DC, etc to help with my coloring a bit but for now I want to make sure that continuing to use this style will benefit me. Need to look out for the new Indiana Jones movie!!

Murder in International Waters

Man! What is it with crazy dreams.

SO this one...is deep and gorey, so if your kinda not into thinks Silent Hill or WW2 esk... Don't read on.

" New World Order Murderers- By: Christopher Taylor"

So, this dream starts off in todays or future time period. For some reason, all the governments of the world united and decided that the worlds problems are due to those races of people that bother them. All inequalities of the world must be eliminated so that we all can live in peace. These "New World Order" leaders then constructed a massive ship as big as a continent. When mass construction on the ship was finished, it sailed across the entire world, and collected races of the world that the New World Order decided upon to board this ship. Blacks, Jews, Canadians (America had decided to invade Canada and expand their country) Mexicans, and many more. When the ship was filled, it sailed to the most abandoned point of the world, furthest distance from every continent, a new point of international waters where everything was free. Who ran the boat, made the law and as we all wondered where we were (yea....I was on the ship also. Du'h) suddenly, the power was cut. Lights went off and the ship was pitch black. We could barely make out what was in front of us. Suddenly, we saw this glowing light. It was the shine of three men's eyes. The men that appear above. They were sick with insanity and murder bleeding from their face. It didn't stop there. In fact, they didn't stop for a moment. Their sick murder bent appearance became a reality as right in front of our faces, they began to kill everyone and anyone in their way. We all ran, ran and just tried to escape these blood thirsty murderers path. I remember hiding out with someone that became a friend with on that ship. But...the hiding didn't last. The three men burst into the room and the guy I was hiding with got scared and tried to escape, but the giant blade wielding murderer pinned his body up against the wall. The man with the chainsaw then forced the blade into his mouth and activated the saw, and then the one with the crowbar just started breaking off his fingers, toes, hand, feet, and then what ever else would break out. They just completely decapitated the poor guy. And I had no choice but to end up running off myself. And I was their next target. I guess this was the point where I started realizing the dream was a dream. I put myself in a room, threw off my coat and just started getting pissed off at what was happening. I kicked open one of the doors and it ended up hitting one of those murderers. I then realized, "I can fight!" (This is a astounding realization as most these dreams people just keep running away) and prepared myself to take on all three. As they all charged into the room, I woke up...

~The World Ends with You~

" Cowboy Sketch : By Christopher Taylor "

~The World Ends with You~ Contest Entry [TAMARA] : By Christopher Taylor

So, today I entered the DEVIANTART/SQUAREENIX contest for their new game " The World Ends with You". The rules were a bit...unclear, but I decided that my first entry will be a human character shooting towards a Main Character or joins up with Main Characters. Her name is Tamara, and with the whole feel of the game (KH meets Urban stylistic world) I thought a black girl with give the character and the world some flavor!! I also did some work on my Character List and created the C O W B O Y. I'm happy that at least they came out to how I imagined them. That one of my hardest task, to think up of something and then to draw it like I want it.

Bilder Tausch!

- Samurai Sketch : By Christopher Taylor -

- Pirate Sketch : By Christopher Taylor -
- Witch Sketch : By Christopher Taylor -
- Dragon Rider Sketch : By Christopher Taylor -
- Dragon Rider : By Christopher Taylor -

So, a friend of mine, James, very stylistic artist, and myself have decided to do a collab-trade series. We've decided upon 3 type of characters to draw. Our picks were -S A M U R A I- , - P I R A T E- and a -W I T C H-. The first trade starts with the samurai. We both draw our character, then trade so that the other person can color that person's character. Thing is, because of recent job fiascos, I've been a bit upset and wanted to take my mind off it for a bit. So, I went ahead and decided to create some more character from it. The first being a dragon rider, but there are more to come. So, here are the sketches for the trade, and the one I finished myself. Enjoy!
